Cutting Your Own sewing buttons

When you think of laser cutters, you likely think about cutting decor, jewelry, keychains, or other home goods.

However, for you sewists out there, you can actually use a laser to cut your own acrylic buttons to sew on your projects!

Simply choose your color of acrylic, and create a cut file with the perfect size and shape of button.

I love using my XTool S1 laser to cut buttons in one corner of my craft room while I'm sewing in the other.

Diode lasers do have restrictions on the types and colors of acrylic they can cut, but that's not as much the case for Co2 lasers.

Nonetheless, you can create some pretty rad button options in only a few minutes!
