Sewing a Custom Dress Form

Adjustable dress forms are expensive, and standard dress forms that don't adjust aren't as useful when sewing clothes for someone without standard sizing.

I was so excited when I learned I could sew a custom pinnable dress form cover and use it on an inexpensive store-bought mannequin.

I provided my dimensions, and a pattern was drafted for me to sew!

I used a fairly stable Ponte knit fabric and got to sewing.

I added the dress form cover to a mannequin and stuffed it.

My dress form and the arm form ended up being the perfect size. And, I didn't spend an arm and leg on the project!
