Thoughts on my New Juki MO-3000QVP Serger

I finally cracked and bought my first air-threading serger with automatic tension: the Juki MO-3000QVP.   Here are my thoughts about it!

First, it has air threading for the lower loopers, which requires some setup but is much easier than threading a standard serger.

The needles are threaded with a built-in threading apparatus instead of with air.

This serger also has auto tension settings, so you don't have to worry about setting the tension values yourself.

You can cut threads with the thread cutter button, using the heel of the programmable foot controller, or by automatically programming the machine!

Unfortunately, the programmable auto-cutter is something I'm still getting used to. I get error messages frequently for being too hasty to remove my thread chains.

My Juki MO-3000QVP serger also has a knee lifter, which I find myself more often lifting with my hand instead of my knee.

And while it doesn't have a free arm, the side does open for easy cleaning.

So far, I'm enjoying serging projects without having to fuss with tension or difficult rethreading!
