MAchine Embroidery Stabilizers Explained

Stabilizers come in different weights, such as lightweight, mediumweight, or heavyweight.

There are also different types of stabilizers, such as tear-away, cut-away, wash-away, and heat-away.

Tear-away stabilizer is best for stable, woven fabrics like linen, canvas, and terry cloth. It's also good for low stitch-count designs.

Cut-away supports stretchy fabric and high stitch count designs.

Wash-away stabilizer can be used as a topper or as a base stabilizer that later washes away in water.

Don't forget sticky self-adhesive stablizer, which can be used when floating embroidery blanks.
