Piecing Quilt Blocks With  an Embroidery Machine in the hoop

Many quilt blocks that can be foundation paper pieced with a sewing machine can also be constructed in the hoop with an embroidery machine.

What's even better is it's pretty easy to digitize designs for ITH pieced quilt blocks if you have a diagram of the block.

Here's a quick overview of how an embroidery machine stitches a quilt block in the hoop.

1. Tack Down First Fabric Piece

2. Stitch Placement Line and Tack Down Next Piece Right Side Down

3. Fold Fabric Piece Back

4. Stitch Subsequent Pieces of Fabric and Press Back, Trimming As You Go
